The Diet that Helps Fight Climate Change

I came across a really great video published by Vox this week, which I would strongly recommend watching (here is the accompanying article too). It provides more explanation to my previous 'Raising Twenty Billion' posts in showing how making small changes to your diet can make a big difference in helping fight climate change. Let me know what you think of the video and if you are persuaded by their argument in the comments!

  1. Hi Nessie! I found the video actually really shocking, especially the fact that 25% of global climate change problems that we are seeing can be attributed back to the food we eat. The video also emphasises that we can all have a positive impact on the global climate by making slight changes to our diet, which people are not aware of at all. The comments seem generally very positive about this; as they should be! There are some however who claim that they need meat in their diet, but I think they may have messed the main message of the video. Overall, I think this is definitely something which should be more widely spread as, together, it could make a large difference. What do you think of the video?

    1. Hi Bailey, sorry for my late reply! I completely agree! By making people aware of this issue and how easily they can help, we can make a difference! I thought the video was really good at emphasising how it doesn't need to be all or nothing, but we can make small changes in our diet e.g. reducing the amount of meat or types of meat we consume. So I agree, those people missed the message completely! Spreading awareness and showing how easy it is to help I think is really important and thats why I thought this video was great :)
